Emma is in love with baby dolls! Seriously obsessed is more like it. She has a few, all of which are girl dolls. I was excited to have the chance to review a boy doll from JC Toys! I know when I was little, I had girl and boy dolls and loved having both genders.

We decided to go with the La Newborn 15" (Real Boy!). I pulled up a lot of the babies that we had to chose from and she wanted the boy doll! So she received her new baby boy dressed in a blue and white polka dot knit outfit. He even came with his own "birth certificate". When she first got him, the clothes came off almost immediately. Emma seems to do this with all of her dolls so I expected this. When she got the romper off, she noticed that he was anatomically correct (he had a penis). And since she has a brother, this was no big surprised, so she said he was a boy and just kept playing. I think it is great to have anatomically correct dolls because it gets children used to the different parts. 

I know some parents aren't okay with this, but since I have two young children so close in age, it's inevitable that they can tell the difference since they get baths together still. So it's not strange to have dolls with the correct anatomy. Along with the realistic anatomy, all of the features on the baby are very realistic. The facial expressions are priceless and even the creases in their arms and legs look real. I do, however wish the legs were a little easier to move since Emma likes to change his diaper all the time and needs help. But I think we have the same problem with a lot of her dolls. Overall, the JC Toys La Newborn boy is the most realistic dolls (and only anatomically correct) doll that we own and is definitely made from great quality!
