Week 37 on Nutrisystem! So, I'm a little delayed on this post from Christmas, but my weigh in was from Friday and after my Christmas dinner and left over day yesterday, I'm not so sure I'm even close to that which was 202 even. But I have realized that my obsessive weighing was causing so much anxiety, so I have only been weighing once or twice a week. But I'm scared to get on the scale this week. We shall see this Friday!

Who doesn't love a refreshing beverage? Even thought it is winter, I'm not one for hot drinks so I always make sure I have something cold with me. I love tea. And even when I make hot tea I put ice in it. I was love homemade tea and can never find anything quite like it. Although, I did get to recently try out ITO EN tea which was definitely close to homemade but in a bottle!

Since we moved into a house with hardwood floors, I try to keep them as clean as possible but with kids and a dog, it seems almost impossible! There are very few hardwood floor cleaners that actually work on smells. Obviously many will make it look nice but when the dog has an accident or the kids (gotta love potty training!), sometimes nothing works. I should have known that Seayu Clean+Green would have an amazing product to help!

A little over a week ago I have posted that we requested our Elf Magic Christmas Elf. Well, SHE CAME! The kids have named her Molly and have been obsessed with trying to find her ever morning. Riley and Emma own so many amazing books and we are always reading so when I can add a new one to the mix, I am always excited! Recently we got to check out "How To Feed A Hungry Giant" by Caitlin Freedman, illustrated by Shaw Nielson. It might possibly be one of the cutest children's books we own!

I have the greatest stocking stuffer for teens ever! There is a huge rave about simple additions to hair. Extensions and colored feathers are two of them. I have thought about them but never considered them because I didn't think they affordable or easy to apply. But I recently came across an inexpensive, super cute way to add a change to your hair with Picasso Hair Feathers!

Riley Goes For His Surgery Tomorrow :(

A couple weeks back I took the kids to the doctors because they had croup. Well the doctor noticed that Riley had a Hydrocele which is fluid in the testicles. Hydroceles are common in infants up to one year old and then they normally resolve themselves because the tube pinches itself off. Well, Riley's didn't (very common apparently) and now he has to have surgery to close off the tube that the fluid is flowing through. If he doesn't have the surgery, he will form a hernia and then he will be in pain and have to have surgery anyway.

This will be his 4th surgery since he was born. It royally sucks. I hate the fact that he has to be put under anesthesia because I am always worried about him having a reaction to it. We go in tomorrow at 9am so wish us luck. I'll update tomorrow with how it went.

What To Get A Teacher & Their Helpers For The Holidays?

So, last week I posted about Riley's first day of school. It's not actually school but a learning lab for the seniors at the local high school. He goes three days a week for two hours a day and he loves it. He is there for two periods so he is assigned to two seniors. They are both so nice and he loves them and the teacher. He has never had a sitter and, honestly, has never been away from me, Kyle or mom. So I'm wondering if I get the teacher and the two high school girls something for the holidays? I know if it were me, I would be so excited! Especially if I were in high school and I got a nice little gift.

I think I definitely want to get them each something. Should do nice hand lotion from bath & body works? I want it to be simple obviously but thoughtful at the same time. So what should I do? What are you getting?

Week 35 on Nutrisystem! I definitely did good this week and was super proud of myself. I realized that I was using the "I'll start on Wednesday" excuse or any other day of the week. And that is not good because that is my main downfall. Thinking I'll just start eating better on another day. There is no reason to postpone being healthy. Healthy starts today! Not Tomorrow! And I got that and slipped back into the routine of being better and even though I only lost a couple ounces, I still lost and a loss is a loss!
