Week 23 On Nutrisystem! #NSNation
Week 23 on Nutrisystem! So, I can't weight in, because during the hurricane, my powder room flooded and that is where my scale is. If it had started leaking, I would have taken it out immediately, but there was a huge gush of water (I'm guessing it was building up) and of course my scale was in there and hasn't come on since. :( So I ordered another one and am hoping it will come this week. But, Kyle has gone back to work and when he's at work, I am more motivated so I've been walking everyday and have stayed on track with healthy eating! So I should have good results the next time I weigh in.

Stay Safe During The Hurricane Weather
If I am not on for a couple days, my electricity is probably wiped out...but I'm hoping it won't be! Fortunately, we have enough pantry food to get us by for some time...water, not so much. I went to Acme today since I was running out and only had two gallons left (normally I always have about 10 on hand) and they were out of water! Crazy! I got two 24 pk cases so that should hold us over and if not, I guess we'll be drinking yucky tap water. But if that is the worst of it for us, then I'll be happy. I hope this hurricane passes smoothly with little damage.

While I love reading, I don't really have that much time to. So I figure it will be a good thing to bring on an extra hand! That way when I have the opportunity to bring you all new books, I can. I need someone that has an interest in a variety of different genres and is capable of reading in a timely fashion. I only get a few book opportunities a month since I don't really do that many book reviews (other then children books), but I would like to increase this. Week 22 On #Nutrisystem! #NSNation
Week 22 on Nutrisystem! This seemed like a long week but I'm back on track! No cheating or anything! I feel good and I actually, at the beginning of this week, started to gain weight and that's when it hit me that it needed to stop! I was okay with a little weight fluctuation, but then I actually gained a couple pounds that weren't gone in the morning. So I got back on track like I've been saying for a while now and did it! I'm under my last weigh in by a couple ounces so I know I'm on the right track. As you can see, just because I am on an awesome program, I do have off weeks. This happens and it is real. Honesty is key, right? I mean, you have to admit you have a problem before you can fix it. "Hi! My name is Kim and I love food that isn't great for me and have the hardest time losing weight." There! Woooo! Okay...now to move on and deal with it!

Who's My Cupcake/ Cupcake Diaries Are The Must Have Summer Reading Books For Kids! *US & Canada Giveaway*
I think it's very apparent that I love cupcakes! They are all over my blog and have been since I started it! Recently, I received the cutest summer cupcake package from Simon & Schuster Children’s Books that included Who's My Cupcake little board book, Cupcake Diaries middle school books and a Cupcake Diaries-branded apron! Everything was so adorable and I couldn't get over the cuteness!
The Who's My Cupcake board book by award-winning author Elissa Guest and illustrator Marina Fedotova was so adorable! Riley and Emma make us read it all the time and they even read it to each other by making up stories! It's just a really cute book and I was excited to add it to the kids library.

Week 21 On Nutrisystem! Inches Count Too! #NSNation
Week 21 on Nutrisystem! So for the past couple of weeks, I started to get a little frustrated with my weight progress so I decided that I am not stepping on the scale until next week. Instead, I was reminded to check my measurements because they can change without my weight changing. The last time I measured myself was a couple of month ago and since then, I have lost a total of 14 inches total! That is huge! I am so excited! I am pretty sure it gave me the motivation I need! I feel a lot better about myself and it boosted my self esteem extremely!

Week 20 On @Nutrisystem! #NSNATION
Week 20 on Nutrisystem! So now that my weight loss has really slowed down, I've been taking a good look at my eating lifestyle and have to see where and when I'm slipping up. Obviously, I haven't been doing as good lately and know that it isn't fair to myself. Late night seems to be my issue. I put the kids down for bed and sit down to watch my DVRd shows and that's when I look for snacks. So I've decided that I am going to save my last fruit for later at night. I'm also going to pick out my exact meals for the day the night before. That way I can have everything laid out for me and it will make it easier to stick to my plan for the day. I also need to start using my Nutrisystem app on my phone again. It is a proven fact that when you keep track of what you are eating somewhere that you can see it, that you are more likely to stay on track. I got so used to the Nutrisystem program that I thought I could just keep track in my head. But I think that is when I start to sneak in a little extra snack here and there. I am also going to check into getting a doctor's appointment to get everything checked out because I have always had a hard time losing weight and thyroid issues do run in my family. So we will see if maybe that is having an effect. Or, it may just be that I need to work harder! Either way, I really WANT to lose the weight so I know that I WILL do it! :)
