Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad & Ladybug Girl at the Beach Books Are Sure To Teach Your Children Valuable Lessons! *US Giveaway*

We love books in this house. The kids are always wanting us to read books to them so getting new ones is always exciting! Recently, we got to add two new books to our collection! These included Penguin's latest releases from the New York Times bestselling Ladybug Girl book series, Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad & Ladybug Girl at the Beach. 

Ladybug Girl is Lulu, a little girl who loves to dress up in her ladybug costume and use her imagination to turn every moment into an adventure. In each book, she comes across a problem that needs to be solved and also teaches lessons. In the Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad, the Bug Squad comes over for a playdate but things don't go exactly the way Lulu had planned. In the end, LuLu has to be brave and say she's sorry and teaches that apologies may not be easy, but are necessary. 

Then, in Ladybug Girl at the Beach and her basset hound make their first trip to the ocean. Lulu heads straight to the water, but fear over comes her when she hears the loudness of the ocean and feels the pull of the waves. So she spends the day playing in the sand until the waves come and steal her pail. She learns that sometimes you need to overcome your fears and gain courage!

I love that these books teach lessons. Right now, Riley is getting into that stage where he doesn't play that well with others so the Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad is the perfect book for him. The more we read it, the more I feel that he understands it. His favorite seems to be Ladybug Girl at the Beach because we have been down the shore a couple times this summer and he loves the ocean. Every time we read it, he asked if we can go to the beach! Emma loves the bright colors and pages filled with pretty pictures. She also loves the dog in the story and calls it Jilly (our dogs name). Overall, I definitely recommend the Ladybug Girl books and hope to get more soon! I really want to get the Ladybug Girl Loves books since it looks so adorable!
