Guest Blogger: Jessica From The Adventures of the Bauer's!

This week we get to meet Jessica from The Adventures of the Bauer's! I love that her blog is different than most. Jessica blogs about her road through the journey of her relationship with her hubby! I always love reading others stories about their relationships. I am always so curious about how people feel and act in their relationship and how it differs or is similar to mine! She also writes about health and deals and so much more and she loves crafts! A girl after my own heart! I also love her header! How beautiful is that!

Here is a little more about Jessica!

Please tell us a little about yourself and your family:  My hubs and I have been married for 2 years and will celebrate our 3rd Ann'y this October. My husband and I were friends in High School for 10 years and with that foundation we realized that God had a bigger plan for us. We have 2 pups: Roxy a 3 yr old rat terrier and Dexter, a 5 yr old Boxer. The most recent news is my younger brother has enlisted in the Army and will be leaving for Basic boot camp in 1 week. I am personally very nervous for his placement once out of boot camp but yet still very, very proud of him.

What is your blog about: My blog is mainly about our adventures as a growing couple and the learning experiences we face on our journey.  I also consider myself a shopaholic so I also tend to drop coupons for my readers.  I also love to share encouragement and gather feedback and toward reaching similar goals. 

When and how did you start blogging:  I started blogging in April 2010, yup a newbie still, at the request of several friends. The suggestion arose as I was telling stories to friends around a table while hosting a game night. I wanted to get some more information before I dove in head first. Finally, after spending a day in the nearby Barnes and Nobles Bookstore reading up on blogging and how to get started...I was hooked. 

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started blogging: I wish I knew how addictive blogging can be. I mean...Gosh...there are just so many great people out there with so many interesting things to say...and the more creative people are the better. I mean I can honestly say our lives and thoughts are somewhat better because of the advice and suggestions from others within the blogosphere.
 
What is one quote you tend to use a lot? "Live everyday to the fullest because you don't know what tomorrow will bring"
 
What is your favorite store to shop at and why? Ooo-ooo, Hobby Lobby and Old Time Pottery!!! Can't get enough of it!! It's my home away from home.  As you might have guessed, I love to scrapbook and love to decorate my house...Just wish I was better at it so it could pay all the bills!!!

Vital IDs Help Keep Everyone Identifiable Fashionably! *US & Canada Giveaway*

Of course we picked the super cool green camouflage. Riley loved his wristband from the second I pulled it out of the package. He wore it the whole entire day and still does if he sees it! The construction of the band is awesome! The Child Safety ID wristband fit Riley's wrist comfortably and it didn't leave any red marks or irritation like some of the other we've tried had. I've been using the band whenever we go out. For only $11.99 it is definitely a steal! There are so many colors to choose from so you can easily purchase a different one for each child to match their personalities! 
 

I wanted to also mention Sonya's sister Sandi. Sandi was diagnosed with brain cancer and is now fighting for her life. I can't imagine what Sandi, Sonya, and their families are going through. While it would be nice if they could focus on getting Sandi better, they can't ignore the medical bills which are piling up so Sonya created Affirmation & Inspiration Jewelry - Sandi's Fight. Bummas Has Your Baby's Bum Covered in an Eco Friendly Way! *US & Canada Giveaway*

Now that I am back to using cloth diapers, it is also easier to use cloth wipes. Not only does this save money, but it also saves time since I can just wrap them up in the diaper and throw them right in the wash instead of trying to keep the two separate and get one to the wet bag and one to trash. Well, we all know how fun it is to have super cute diapers, so why not super cute wipes? Bummas gave me the opportunity to review some of their adorable eco-friendly wipes!

We received the Wild Ones set of Bummas Wipes and I loved all the awesome bright colors. The set comes with 10 5x7" wipes that won't pill, shrink or fade which is great since I will be washing them a lot! They are made of 100% Cotton - Woven Velour Terry Cloth milled in the USA which is why they are so soft. If you don't use cloth diapers, that doesn't mean you can't use Bummas wipes. They are great for in between changes when your baby decides that they don't care whether or not they have a diaper on and pees all over you! Bummas are made to hold one whole pee so that means no more cleaning up accidental messes! You can use them for making sure your baby is dry as well. We hear so many bad things about using powder so these are a great alternative. Then when your baby is all out of diapers, you can use these for regular wash cloths, cleaning up spills, wiping faces, and so much more!

Like I said, I like to use them for cloth wipes. This has saved us a lot of money since Kyle thinks it takes 20 wipes to clean a dirty diaper, which we women know is so not true! We were going through about a box of wipes (maybe more) a month! Now we go through about a quarter of that! I found a recipe for wipe solution and I just throw the Bummas wipes and solution into an old wipe box and call it a day! It is so simple and easy that I wish I had done it before! They are so much softer than wipes too and there are no harsh chemicals touching their privates! I am actually thinking about buying another set so I have extras on hand!

I am a huge fan of lip gloss and always have it on me where ever I go.
