This week we get to meet Maria from Fitteds and pockets and snappis, oh my! Since I just got back into cloth diapering, I was super excited to be featuring her! Obviously she reviews and posts about cloth diaper a good amount so I head over there for advise, tips , and suggestions! I just found out from interviewing her that she also loves writing but get's stressed when she has to write! I'm the same way so it's nice to hear someone else say they are too! :) You definitely have to stop at her blog even if you don't use cloth because she offers lots of advice and reviews on other products as well! :)
Here is a little more about Maria!
Please tell us a little about yourself and your family: My name is Maria, I've been married for 9 years and we have two children. My daughter is five and my son is one. Before I had my daughter, I was in the insurance industry. I'm a dork and I still really enjoy insurance. I just earned the AINS designation from AICPCU-IIA. I love baking and exercising, they're both huge stress-busters for me (when I can get away from my kids). Hey, what can I say? Absence makes the heart grow fonder!
What is your blog about: I started writing Fitteds and Pockets and Snappis, oh my! as I switched to cloth diapers, but I've been expanding to other "green" products/subjects as well.
When and how did you start blogging: My husband started a blog for us in 2008 when we were building our house, but I didn't start my own blog until November 2009. I've always loved to write (although for some reason I get majorly stressed as soon as I feel like I have to write something?) We've been going through some difficult things and that month was particularly bad. I felt like I was spinning out of control and writing the blog posts brought me back down to earth; it gave me something to focus on, something just for me. I actually sat down and wrote probably a dozen posts within a few days, it was great therapy. The blog has definitely evolved since then! My main focus is still cloth diapers and now I do reviews and giveaways of cloth, as well as other products.
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started blogging: Hmm...maybe just how much I would love it, then I would have started sooner! I've really enjoyed getting to "meet" other moms, whether I'm giving them cloth diapering advice, tips on blogging or just chatting.
If you could go back to high school, would you? Um, no. I'll leave it at that!
What is one thing you miss about being a kid? The carefree fun of running around outside until dark, riding my bike as fast as I could down the hill, catching fireflies...
