You all may know by now that I am a sucker for learning tools for the kids. I love watching them learn new things and it is always fun when we can learn together! I have come across many sites that offer educational DVDs and Galloping Minds is one of them!

Galloping Minds was generous enough to send us their Numbers and Animals DVD as well as their Alphabet and Phonics Flash Cards! As soon as we opened them I went straight to the Flash Cards. Since Riley is a sponge I love to see what he knows and what we have to work on. The pictures on the flash cards were nice and large and we went through them pretty quickly! I put aside the ones he didn't know and we went back to them later. I absolutely love the cards and think that they are great for teaching!

We watched the DVD and while I thought it had lots of great points to it, I wish it were a little faster paced. It wasn't one that I would sit and watch myself, but Riley seemed to enjoy it and followed along easily which is obviously the point. I normally put it on for him when I need to clean or keep him occupied. I do like that it is based on classical music since it is a known fact that classical music helps stimulate the brain.

I think that Galloping Minds offers lots of tools that can assist you in teaching your children. While focusing on basics, they also intercept with more advanced points without being too confusing! I like that the DVD is great for toddlers as well as older children in grade school! At only $12.99 a DVD (and package discounts) and free shipping, you can purchase multiple DVDs for more learning catagories!
