Review & Giveaway: Raw Element (Etsy)

I was on the hunt for sponsors for my Blogmania giveaway in September and I came across Raw Element on Etsy. I knew that I wanted to add something from Raw Element to my "Pamper Mommy" package because what Mom doesn't want all natural pamper products!

A Little About Raw Element : I started hand crafting my products for myself due to the growing concern over the wide-spread use of irritating and potentially dangerous chemicals used in many of today’s skin care lines. I realized that my artillery of high-end creams and miscellaneous wrinkle defenses began resembling a chemistry set much like the one we used in grade school (wherein we were required to wear gloves to avoid burning the skin!!!) rather than the few rich, emollient creams, scrubs, balms, and washes I truly needed to protect and preserve one of the largest organs on my body, my skin!! Soon enough, I began receiving requests from friends and family to try my products and quickly expanded to reach customers across the country. I do not use harsh and dangerous chemicals and preservatives (only natural sources), cheap filler materials, synthetic fragrances, or dyes. My products are always tested on humans (family and friends – that’s what they are there for) and never on animals. I believe in a simple, well-crafted, yet luxuriously rich product with the finest ingredients packaged in recyclable materials to ensure we consider the effect not only on our bodies but also the environment. I use tin containers as tin is one of the most recyclable materials available today. All containers are food grade and thus, are the perfect package solution for my goodies!

Products are always made in small batches and made upon order to ensure the utmost of freshness! Ingredients used are vegetable & plant oils, natural plant butters, pure essential oils, natural botanicals, herbal extracts, floral waters, natural salts, clays & vitamins. Note that my mission is not to create sugary sweet smelling lotions and fruity body washes. You can buy those at any given place at the store or the mall anytime you please. What I do is focus on creating a quality product with ingredients that moisturize, heal, and protect. Typically, my products smell fragrant only through the use of naturally fragrant essential oils or floral extracts. However, some of my products have almost no smell as the ingredients used are naturally subtle smelling. Thus, although I will always consider requests for different scents, I will not create a product solely to generate a fragrant smell if it compromises the core quality of the product.

Because synthetic preservatives are not used, products do expire and as such, I also communicate the expiration date and whether products purchased should be refrigerated and or stored in a dark space to ensure maximum longevity and quality. I continue to refine my current recipes and explore new ideas, products, and packaging and feedback is always welcome to facilitate the continuous evolvement of my line. Mommy Thinks: When Julie told me she was sending me sending me Vanilla Vixen Body Oil I was willing to try it but didn't know how much I would love it! I am so used to oil being, well, oily. I was super surprised that the Vixen Body Oil absorbed so fast! It also made my skin feel nice and silky and I put a little on my arm and rubbed it in and then put my shirt over it and there wasn't any residue on my shirt at all! 

It is also really great for massages too! It does soak in quickly so you may have to reapply frequently which is okay because a little bit goes a long way! I definitely recommend the Vixen Body Oil if you are looking for something to make your skin silky without getting messy! Oh! And it smelled super yummy but not too strong! I received the Vanilla and it reminded me of a fresh baked cake! Even Kyle complimented me on the "perfume" I was wearing!
